Once I had the blocks made, it was time to put them in place. I laid them out on the floor and looked at them for several days trying to decide where each one fit best. I'd think I had them exactly where I wanted them and go downstairs the next day and find two of the same color too close together and have to start moving them around. Eventually I was satisfied and sewed them together.
Next came the borders. Once again I had to look at the colors for a few days before piecing together. This is the point where I had Lisa come over and see it. I was too excited to wait until it was completely finished for her to see it.
The finished quilt top! Now Lisa and I need to go shopping to pick out the backing and then get it quilted.
It was so easy to make. I keep thinking I need to challenge myself a bit more...maybe next time.

It sure didn't take you very long to get that quilt put together. Very pretty! Lucky Lisa . . . I didn't realize it was going to be a quilt for her.

Hi Lynn -- Elizabeth just showed me your quilt on your blog and we love it!!!! Elizabeth and I just learned a very beginner level of quilting at this Stitchin Mission class and ... Yours looks mega-hard!!! I can't believe you thought yours was easy!!! :o)
By the way, we've also been wanting to learn how to crochet. Maybe we could get together sometime and you could help us get started??? :o)
Also, do you sew using patterns, too? Elizabeth and I are going to try to attempt to make a pioneer dress costume for a play and I'm sure we'll get stuck. We're looking for people who might be able to help us when we have questions?
